Description: 

This webinar will focus on how to respond to ethically complex patient cases with professionally trained ethicists. Topic themes include surrogate decision making, treatment refusal, medically ineffective/nonbeneficial treatment, treatment decision making for unrepresented patients and for patients with challenging behaviors, complex discharge planning to name a few. Attendees will learn how to address and navigate challenging patient care situations by learning skills and verbiage to effectively and ethically and provide clarity during patient care conversations to develop an ethically appropriate plan of care.
