0728_PAMF_GME Faculty Development: Time Efficient Clinical Teaching_Live
Description
This one hour faculty development session is designed to help clinician-educators deliver effective, high-impact preceptor teaching in the midst of busy clinical workflows. Teaching is a core responsibility that shapes how learners develop clinical reasoning, professionalism, and systems thinking. Competing demands like EMR documentation and staffing shortages can interrupt the flow of natural on the floor preceptor to student teaching. This session addresses the cost of missed teaching opportunities and offers practical, time-efficient strategies to integrate teaching into routine care. Participants will learn and apply two proven frameworks: the One-Minute Preceptor and SNAPPS model, in order to promote real-time learning, support learner growth, and reduce educator burnout by making teaching feel purposeful and energizing rather than a burden.
Target Audience
Physicians (MD or DO)
