Strengthen your leadership impact by learning how to coach with confidence. This interactive, three-session series equips leaders with practical coaching skills—active listening, asking powerful questions, and applying the GROW model—to enhance team performance and engagement. Through real-world scenarios, peer practice, and feedback, participants will develop strategies to integrate coaching into everyday leadership.
The PAFMG Leader as Coach Program equips leaders with the knowledge and practical skills to integrate coaching into their daily leadership practice. Coaching is a critical leadership competency that strengthens team performance, fosters engagement, and supports professional growth.
Through interactive workshops, videos, partner and small-group exercises, and real-world scenarios, participants will learn to:
- Understand the principles and purpose of leadership coaching.
- Apply core coaching techniques such as active listening, asking powerful questions, and balancing challenge with support.
- Build confidence using the GROW coaching model in real-time conversations with team members.
- Create psychological safety and equity when coaching to ensure all voices are valued.
- Develop personalized strategies to embed coaching into everyday leadership interactions.
This three-part Application to Practice series provides progressive opportunities to practice and apply coaching skills:
Session 1: Define personal leadership development goals and measurable indicators of progress.
Session 2: Practice the GROW model in triads, incorporating peer and facilitator feedback.
Session 3: Share peer feedback, refine coaching skills, and identify ongoing resources for sustained learning.
By the end of the program, leaders will be better prepared to coach their teams effectively, leading to improved performance, stronger engagement, and a culture of growth across the organization.

Upon completion of this series, learners should be able to:
• Demonstrate skills and abilities as a Coach-Leader reflective of collaboration and peer coaching that utilizes the LAC tools.
• Apply recommended strategies to build a psychologically safe environment where leaders and the team will feel comfortable being coached.
