Description:
This one-hour PAMF grand rounds provides an evidence-based update on the recognition, evaluation, and management of hypertension, with a focus on improving cardiovascular outcomes across diverse patient populations. The talk will review current hypertension guidelines, discuss disparities in prevalence and treatment response, particularly among women and Black adults, and emphasize the importance of lifestyle interventions and social determinants of health. Learners will gain practical strategies for accurate blood pressure measurement, treatment selection, and patient-centered care, including the use of technology and personalized approaches to enhance long-term control and engagement.
