Description:
This virtual grand rounds will provide a comprehensive overview of Wide Awake Local Anesthesia No Tourniquet (WALANT) surgery for common hand procedures, including carpal tunnel release, trigger finger release, and tendon repairs. Beyond addressing knowledge gaps, the session will clarify the pharmacologic principles, dispel persistent myths, and present current data on safety and efficacy. The session will also explore how WALANT can improve patient outcomes, and enhance surgical efficiency, empowering providers to confidently integrate this technique into their practice.
