Description:
Pediatric patients often present to urgent care with conditions that may initially appear routine but can quickly become life-threatening if not recognized early. This course is designed for urgent care nurses who want to sharpen their skills in identifying and managing high-risk pediatric presentations. Participants will learn practical strategies to recognize red flags, prioritize timely interventions, and apply evidence-based management approaches to ensure safe, effective care for children. Through case-based discussions and interactive learning, this course goes “Beyond the Basics” to equip clinicians with the confidence and clinical judgment needed when minutes matter. This is a 2-hour virtual course. Participants will have the completion of the course entered in their Workday Learnings.
