Description:
The Service Line Leaders Bootcamp is designed to prepare service line leaders to advance Sutter’s Destination 2030 goals through a “One Sutter” approach. This intensive two-day program focuses on four critical leadership competencies: 1) strategic planning, 2) financial acumen, 3) operational management, and 4) decision-making to aid with this goal. Through executive perspectives, healthcare business simulations (through collaboration with BTS), case scenarios, and intact team strategy sessions, participants (service line leaders) will reflect and gain practical tools for balancing tradeoffs, understanding resistance to change, system strategy alignment, and leading service line teams in a rapidly evolving healthcare environment. Our ten service lines span across Heart & Vascular, Behavioral Health, Cancer, Women’s, Children’s, Orthopedics, Neurosciences, Urgent Care, Pharmacy, Laboratory and Imaging

Physicians (MD or DO)
Learning Objectives
By the end of this learning activity, participants will be able to:
1.) Drive alignment across the system and communicating clarity of the direction moving forward
2.) Develop an effective service line strategy and understanding system interdependencies and value creation
3.) Integrate both clinical and financial data to provide effective planning, decision-making and influence
4.) Deliberate consideration of tradeoffs when making decisions to deliver on the “One Sutter” vision.
5.) Execute through partnership and a common language (communication) in evaluating tradeoffs.
6.) Engage leadership of service line strategy by embracing change, influencing others, and modeling curiosity.
7.) Serve as an accountable presence, influence, and visibility as a leader within the system.
