0844_CPMC_Non-Invasive Neuromodulation for Neurological and Psychiatric Disorders_Live
Description:
This virtual grand rounds addresses a critical knowledge gap among clinicians regarding non-invasive neuromodulation therapies for treatment-resistant psychiatric and neurological conditions. The session will equip participants to identify current FDA-approved neuromodulation options for psychiatric disorders and emerging therapies for acute seizures and drug-resistant epilepsy. Attendees will explore the underlying mechanisms of action for these innovative treatment modalities and learn to recognize key factors that influence both efficacy and tolerability outcomes, enabling more informed clinical decision-making for patients with medically refractory mood disorders and seizures.

Learning Objectives
By the end of this learning activity, learners will be able to:
1.) Identify FDA-approved non-invasive neuromodulation therapies for psychiatric disorders
2.) Identify emerging non-invasive neuromodulation modalities for treatment of acute seizures and drug-resistant focal epilepsy
3.) Review the mechanism of action of these modalities
4.) Recognize factors that explain efficacy and tolerability variability
