Multi cancer early detection screening (MCED) tests are rapidly growing in prominence and are poised for FDA approval which would expand their use significantly. However, rigorous evidence demonstrating improved patient outcomes is lacking. Viewers of this session will learn important principles for evaluating the effectiveness of cancer screening tests and apply these principles to the MCED tests. Viewers will also develop familiarity with important discussion points when counseling patients regarding MCED test use and result interpretation.
