0900 _CPMC_The Clock is Ticking: How to Communicate Effectively and Compassionately_Live
Description:
This webinar will explore how healthcare providers can communicate effectively and compassionately within time constraints. Healthcare providers will be able to identify common barriers to effective communication in time-sensitive and high-stakes clinical situations, including emotional distress, uncertainty, and time pressure; will learn how to apply practical communication strategies to deliver urgent or complex information with clarity, empathy, and compassion; and integrate ethical considerations into high-stakes clinical communication and utilize techniques to support understanding and trust in time-sensitive conversations. Case examples using different patient care scenarios will be discussed. Through case-based discussions, participants will examine diverse clinical scenarios and explore strategies for communicating and navigating complex ethical decisions in acute care settings for this vulnerable patient population.
