Description:
This course introduces clinicians to the principles and practice of Evidence‑Based Practice, empowering them to ask clinical questions, appraise research, and apply evidence to improve patient outcomes. Participants will learn how to use PICOT to frame questions, evaluate the quality of studies, interpret key research concepts, and integrate evidence with clinical expertise and patient preferences. Through interactive activities and real-world examples, this course equips learners with practical skills to foster a culture of inquiry and drive continuous improvement in the ambulatory care setting.

Learning Objectives
After completion of this activity, learners will be able to:
1. Define Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) and describe its role in improving quality, safety, and patient outcomes.
2. Construct a clinical question using the PICOT framework to guide evidence searches and decision-making.
3. Locate and select credible, high-quality evidence using clinical databases and organizational resources.
4.Critically appraise research literature by evaluating study design, validity, reliability, and applicability to clinical practice.
5. Foster a culture of inquiry by identifying barriers to EBP and implementing strategies that support evidence-informed care within the clinical team.
