This course is part of the risk education series. This series focuses on improving informed consent documentation and surgical practices to enhance patient safety and reduce the risk of legal issues. It covers key strategies for informed consent conversations and helping clinicians avoid potential lawsuits and ensure optimal patient care outcomes. This specific session will help providers better understand the clinical, communication, and system-related factors that contribute to malpractice risk, identify gaps in decision-making and documentation processes, and recognize common failures that can lead to litigation.
