0971_CPMC_ Raiders of the Lost Art: Unearthing Ethical Solutions to Controlling Behavior_Live

November 18, 2026

Description:

In healthcare settings, overly controlling behavior from patients and their families, usually stemming from underlying fear and a sense of powerlessness, can lead to lost trust, lost time, and lost hope. This webinar will take participants on an ethical excavation of sorts. They will practice looking beneath the surface behavior through the strategic use of communication tools. They will also learn to apply the clues they unearth to the creation of approaches that balance patient/family autonomy and quality care with staff safety and clear boundaries.
