Bio: Steven D. Blair, MD, MBA   

President/CEO Sutter North Medical Group

Dr. Blair currently serves as the President and CEO of Sutter North Medical Group in Yuba City, California. As President, he represents the medical group at the system level and works as a dyad leader in the Greater Sacramento Market. He also serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors for Sutter North Medical Group. Through his dual role, Dr. Blair has spent the last 5 years leading the strategic vision of the group and promoting growth and employee engagement at Sutter North.

During his 25-year career in the Yuba City area, Dr. Blair was honored on three occasions as the Best Physician in Yuba City. In 2018, the Yuba Sutter Colusa Medical Society recognized Dr. Blair as the Physician of the Year. He also served 8 years as Associate Medical Director of Family Medicine prior to taking on the role of President/CEO at Sutter North.

Dr. Blair attended Central Methodist University for undergraduate studies in Biology before earning his Medical Degree at Saint Louis University. Dr. Blair returned to the University of Missouri-Kansas City to complete his Family Medicine Residency. In 2000, Dr. Blair started a solo Family Medicine clinic in Marysville, California. In 2010, he joined Sutter North Medical Group where Dr. Blair has spent the last 15 years of his career. In 2017, he completed a term as Chief of Staff at Fremont Rideout Hospital as well as earning an MBA from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. Dr. Blair is active in the AMGA as a member of the CEO Council and currently sits on the Council on Legislation for the California Medical Association.
