Jonathan Williams
Vice President, Federal Government Affairs, Sutter Health
Jonathan Williams is the Vice President of Federal Government Affairs for Sutter Health. Based in Sacramento, California, Williams is responsible for developing, implementing and managing Sutter Health’s public policy and regulatory strategies in Washington D.C. As part of the Public Affairs organization, Williams works closely with executive and physician leadership to engage on a wide range of issues that impact Sutter’s integrated health system, support patient care and enable access for the diverse communities Sutter Health serves.
Prior to joining Sutter Health in August, 2018, Williams spent 21 years with Intel Corporation. Williams joined Intel’s Washington DC office in 1997, where he managed Intel's Political Action Committee (IPAC) and lobbied trade policy before Congress. Subsequent to that role, Williams served in multiple business units and a variety of public affairs and government affairs roles for the company in Oregon and California.
Williams has served on the board of directors of numerous business associations in California, Oregon and Texas.
Williams received an undergraduate degree in international relations from Tulane University in New Orleans and a joint Master of Business Administration/Master of International Affairs degree in 1996 from American University in Washington D.C.
