Aileen Guina, BSN, RN, CIC
Aileen Oblea Guina, BSN, RN, CIC, is a healthcare professional with years of experience in hospital quality, patient safety, and infection prevention and control. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Santo Tomas and currently the manager for Hospital Quality, Patient Safety and Infection Control at Sutter Health Mills-Peninsula Medical Center.
In her leadership role, Aileen oversees teams of professionals ensuring the delivery of high-quality care while implementing robust safety protocols to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. During her tenure, the hospital has earned multiple national recognitions, including the Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Award, America's Top 5% for Clinical Quality, and America's 50 Best Hospitals Award from 2021 to 2024.
Aileen also served as a subject matter expert on pandemic response, infectious disease control and healthcare safety procedures. She has worked in collaboration with the San Mateo Public Health and California Department of Public Health on strategies and emergency preparedness. Her work in healthcare quality and safety is recognized for its evidence-based approach and leadership impact at MPMC and across Sutter Health.
