I have been a registered nurse for 14 years and have been in Infection Prevention for over 10 years. My background is in Operating Room where I started my nursing career as a circulating RN. I have worked for single hospitals as well as multi-hospital systems including a Level 1 Trauma center with a specialty surgical hospital, mental health, rehab, long term care along and a range of other facilities. I earned a BSN and PHN from CSU Bakersfield and went on to earn an MSN specializing in Infection Prevention and Control (MSN-IPC). I have been certified in infection control (CIC) since 2017.
