Kim Hurley, RN – Director of Operations, Sansum Clinic

With nearly four decades of service at Sansum Clinic, Kim Hurley is a seasoned healthcare leader whose career has been deeply rooted in nursing excellence and operational innovation. As Area Director, she oversees multiple clinical sites across Santa Barbara County, specializing in Allergy, Cardiology, Neurology, Occupational Medicine, Optometry, Ophthalmology, Pediatrics, and Pulmonary care.

Kim began her career in direct patient care, serving in roles from Medical Assistant to Registered Nurse in specialties including Occupational Medicine, Urgent Care, Pediatrics, and Ophthalmology. Her hands-on clinical experience laid the foundation for her transition into leadership, where she has consistently championed quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and patient-centered care.

She has been Epic Ambulatory certified and has led EHR workflow implementation and optimization across 20 locations, supporting over 150 providers. Her leadership has been instrumental in advancing PCMH initiatives, streamlining supply chain processes, and enhancing employee engagement through innovative programs and team-building efforts.
