This course is part of the risk education series. This series focuses on improving informed consent documentation and surgical practices to enhance patient safety and reduce the risk of legal issues. It covers key strategies for informed consent conversations and helping clinicians avoid potential lawsuits and ensure optimal patient care outcomes. This specific session will help providers recognize the behaviors, communication deficiencies, and documentation issues that can contribute to Medical Board complaints. In addition, it will provide insight into the Medical Board complaint process, enabling providers to better understand how their actions and documentation may be evaluated and addressed by the Board.
