I have worked in the field of medical social work, helping patients and families since 2004. I have dedicated my career helping cancer patients and their families since 2008. I provide a broad range of services to patients and their families through individualized care, including cultivating resilience and coping skills needed to navigate the challenging and often overwhelming world of cancer.

I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Master of Social Work (MSW) from San Diego State University. I have obtained my clinical license (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) in California. After 16 years in the field of clinical social work, I decided to pursue my Doctorate of Social Work (DSW) degree from Capella University to further my learning as a practitioner-researcher who focuses on how to improve cancer patients’ and their families’ lives by conducting research to improve delivery of psychosocial care. I am also a certified oncology social worker (OSW-C) and recently became certified in CBT-I (Insomnia).

I am honored to be an oncology social worker, learning and growing with my patients and their families and being able to live with gratitude.
