Cassandra Ward, Speech Language Pathologist, M.S., CCC-SLP
Cassandra Ward is a highly skilled and compassionate speech-language pathologist who has been working at Sutter Roseville Medical Center for 23 years. She has had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings including outpatient, inpatient and acute rehabilitation over the course of her career. With a strong background in treating a wide range of disorders, including dysphagia, traumatic brain injury (TBI), and stroke, she has honed her expertise in diagnosing and treating communication and cognitive challenges with precision and care. In the past five years, Cassandra has shifted her focus to specialize in voice and upper airway disorders. She has developed a deep understanding of the intricate workings of the vocal mechanism via extensive continuing education and trainings throughout the nation including at USC Caruso Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery and Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. Cassandra has played an integral role in growing the voice program at SRMC Outpatient Rehab Center and spearheaded the development of the Laryngeal Videostroboscopy program. She sees patients with a broad range of diagnosis including vocal nodules, vocal polyps, vocal fold atrophy/presbyphonia, muscle tension dysphonia, vocal fold paresis, vocal tremor, spasmodic dysphonia/laryngeal dystonia, inducible laryngeal obstruction/vocal cord dysfunction, exercise induced laryngeal obstruction, and chronic cough/cough hypersensitivity syndrome.
