Ana Herrera serves as Senior Director of Care Management for the Bay Area at Sutter Health. She brings over 20 years of nursing experience and holds certification as an Accredited Case Manager. Prior to joining Sutter Health in May 2025, Ana spent 14 years at CommonSpirit Health, most recently as Market Director of Care Management, where she led care coordination teams across 11 hospitals throughout Northern California and oversaw the Northern California Utilization Management Hub and California Complex Placement Team.

Ana earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University, Sacramento and is an active member of the Sacramento Latino Medical Association Ethics. Her expertise spans care transitions, team development, and systems strategy.

Fluent in Spanish, Ana is a parent to three children and two large dogs, an avid traveler who once lived in France, a recreational tennis player, and an adventurer who has climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro.
