Valentino Walker, LCSW is a seasoned healthcare leader with 10+ years of clinical and case management experience and 15 years with Sutter Health, currently serving as Director of Case Management at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center. A UC Berkeley School of Social Work graduate, Valentino brings deep expertise in care coordination, interdisciplinary leadership, regulatory compliance, and system-wide performance improvement.

Valentino has led and implemented multiple high-impact initiatives across readmissions reduction, length of stay optimization, social determinants of health, discharge planning compliance (Title 22), substance use navigation, and homeless discharge planning (SB1152). A trusted leader, Valentino has managed and developed RN and Social Work teams, overseen staffing and performance management, guided complex clinical, legal, and risk issues, and served as acting director during leadership absences.

With specialized strengths in pediatric and adult hospice, sickle cell disease, behavioral health and psychiatric care, Valentino is recognized for driving sustainable improvement through Lean management, Kaizen initiatives, and standard work development, while maintaining a strong focus on patient-centered, equitable care delivery.
