Zachary Visinoni, Doctor of Medicine

My name is Zach Visinoni and I am a first-year cardiovascular disease fellow at Sutter Health. Originally from Paradise, California, I returned home to the West Coast for internal medicine training at Sutter after finishing medical school in the Midwest. My primary area of research in residency and fellowship has been with intravascular lithotripsy (IVL) and its role in percutaneous coronary intervention. Along with leaders in this field, I was able to co-author the chapter on IVL in the 3rd Edition of Cardiovascular Catheterization & Intervention, a textbook used by general and interventional cardiology trainees. We also published a comprehensive review article on this topic in Cardiovascular Revascularization Medicine. I am planning on a career in general cardiology - a field that requires ongoing engagement in research to improve care and outcomes for our patients. I am excited to share my experience in scholarly activity at Sutter with my fellow trainees!
