Description:
The 2026 Valley GME Research Day is a systemwide continuing education event designed to enhance clinician competence in interpreting and applying research and quality improvement findings to patient care and health system performance. This event brings together residents, fellows, faculty, researchers, and clinical educators to engage in the dissemination, discussion, and critical appraisal of original research, quality improvement initiatives, and other scholarly work with direct relevance to clinical practice. Through keynote presentations, oral research sessions, and moderated poster discussions, participants will gain structured opportunities to: · critically evaluate emerging and evolving evidence · interpret research and QI findings in the context of patient outcomes and system improvement · engage in interdisciplinary dialogue to strengthen evidence-based decision-making · apply principles of scientific communication to enhance clarity, rigor, and clinical relevance By providing a standardized, academically rigorous forum for scholarly discussion, the Valley GME Research Day fosters systemwide alignment in evidence-based practice, strengthens research literacy, and supports continuous learning across Sutter Health. The activity emphasizes the translation of research and QI findings into practical strategies for improving patient outcomes and advancing health system performance.
