Kimberly Dalal, MD
Biography:
Kimberly Moore Dalal, MD, FACS, is the Section Chief of Surgical Oncology, System Cancer Service Line, Sutter Health, the Chair of the Sutter Health Upper Gastrointestinal/Hepatopancreaticobiliary Program of Distinction (POD), Director of Pancreas and Hepatobiliary Surgical Oncology at California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC), and the Medical Director of Philanthropy at the Mills-Peninsula Division/Palo Alto Medical Foundation.
In 2010, Dr. Dalal joined the medical staff of Mills-Peninsula as Medical Director of Surgical Oncology. She joined CPMC in 2017 and organized the prospective multidisciplinary High Risk Gastrointestinal Tumor Board. Her elective practice in surgical oncology includes diseases of the pancreas, liver, esophagus, stomach, soft tissue sarcoma, and melanoma.
Before starting her career at Mills-Peninsula, she served four years as Chief of Surgical Oncology at David Grant U.S. Air Force Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base, California where she was also deployed as a general and trauma surgeon to Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan in 2007.
Dr. Dalal completed her undergraduate studies at Harvard (magna cum laude) with a four-year U.S. Air Force ROTC Scholarship, her medical degree at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (Alpha Omega Alpha), general surgery internship at UCSF, general surgery residency at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School, and her surgical oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. In 2013, she was selected for the Sutter Leadership Academy. MD
