0978_SHCC_Sutter Health Acute Care Transfer Services: Clinical Education Series_Live

June 3, 2026

Description:

This session is designed to strengthen recognition of common acute surgical oncology presentations such as bowel obstruction, perforation, bleeding, infection, airway compromise, and complications related to chemotherapy, radiation, or prior operations. The goal is to improve clinical triage, communication with referring and accepting teams, and understanding of the level of surgical and oncologic resources these patients may require. By enhancing foundational knowledge in acute surgical oncology care, nurses will be better equipped to facilitate timely, safe, and coordinated transfers across Sutter Health.
