Being a native from Morocco is a pride i carry in my professional and personal life. The culture is that of giving, of hospitality, and love for people. There, I completed my medical education before coming to the US. A near-fatal car accident before my graduation deeply influenced my approach to patient care. The fear, the wait, the confusion, the anxiety, all plagued my recovery. But also, a deep gratitude and a sense of letting go and trusting the medical community and the oath they took to care for me. 

Once in the US, I trained in internal medicine in Upstate New York, then specialized in pulmonary and critical care at Tufts University and Harvard University-affiliated hospitals in Boston before moving to California. 

I now practice my dream of helping people. Cliche, I know. But a very real and honest dream. My areas of expertise are COPD, asthma, pulmonary fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, autoimmune disorders, lung infections, unexplained respiratory issues, lung cancer, chronic respiratory failure, and pulmonary embolism.  I also specialize in integrating artificial intelligence Ai into medical practice, teaching, academic writing, and into my daily pulmonary and critical care practice. I found more patient reach in using telehealth as well as bedside care across 19 states. 

In drug development and clinical research, I have operated clinical research sites in Southern California bridging access for communities to state-of-the-art clinical trials. Currently, I took that expertise globally to multiple cutting edge research trials in the indications where I have medical strategy expertise.

As an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California UCR School of Medicine and a board member of the American College of Chest Physicians (CHEST), I get to apply my passion in teaching and innovating in medical education. As a teacher’s son, I find that it comes naturally to me, to customize the experience to the learner. I co-authored multiple games for education. I also trained in providing a fun experience such as using virtual escape rooms to create a fun competitive learning atmosphere to the new learner seeking a different classroom experience. I excel in teaching Ai to first time users as well as tech savvy clinical learners, teaching them its health applications customized to their personal needs, whether in medical education, academia, or research, including advanced prompt engineering, educational video creation, and manuscript writing.

In my personal time, my husband and I enjoy taking our dogs Khloe, Enzo, and Rayyane to the park, exploring new culinary destinations, traveling, and learning languages, as well as watching Broadway shows. I currently speak five languages: Arabic in many of its regional dialects, French, Spanish, English, and recently Italian, and I am proud to integrate many cultural insights into my medical practice.
