Monique George recently joined the Trauma Services team at Sutter Health Eden Medical Center, a Level II trauma center in Castro Valley, California, as its new Trauma Performance Improvement Nurse. She brings 11 years of emergency department experience and board certification in emergency nursing to her role, where she leads process improvement initiatives that strengthen trauma care from prehospital and emergency care through inpatient recovery. Since stepping into the position, she has focused on improving door-to-antibiotic timeliness in line with ACS standards, launching daily multidisciplinary trauma rounds, and building collaborative transfer reviews with regional partner facilities. Monique is passionate about using data and frontline staff input to drive measurable improvements in patient outcomes.

A former collegiate soccer player at Concordia University Irvine, Monique still loves staying active. She is a mother of two young children, and her family spends as much time outdoors as possible, camping (Yosemite is their favorite spot) and heading to the lake. She loves wake surfing, surfing, stand-up paddling, hiking, mountain biking, and working out. The family's basset hound, Opie, joins in on most adventures but draws the line at camping; he prefers the couch.
