Felicia Chow

Felicia Chow is a neuro-infectious diseases clinician-researcher who works at the crossroads of neurology, infectious diseases, and global health. Dr. Chow’s research is focused on (1) predictors, patterns, and mechanisms of infection-related stroke, (2) sex and race disparities in cerebrovascular risk in HIV infection, and (3) treatment strategies for neurotuberculosis. As part of her work, Dr. Chow has championed greater diversity in research training and is committed to mentoring junior investigators in neuro-infectious diseases and clinical research methods, including as program director for ENLIGHTEN, a new NIH-funded T32 fellowship focused on brain equity research training. She directs the UCSF Neuro-Infectious Diseases Clinic where she cares for patients with a wide range of neurological infections and regularly consults on challenging neuro-infectious diseases cases locally, statewide and nationally, including as an expert consult for the California Department of Public Health.
