Richard Mirabile, Ph.D. Organizational Psychology
Richard Mirabile is an Organizational Psychologist with over 25 years of diverse, business, consulting and academic experience as a technology founder, CEO, scholar, and consultant. Through multiple lenses, he is able to understand complex situations and integrate extensive information to help executives, senior leaders, and teams strengthen their leadership and organizational impact. He currently specializes in Leadership Development, High Performance Team Facilitation, Organization Development, and Executive Coaching.
In addition to his consulting practice, he has been a Guest Fellow at the Center for Leadership Development and Research in the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University. He has also held positions as Senior Partner, Leadership Consulting Services for Heidrick & Struggles, Director of Human Resources for GTE Telephone Operations Group; Western Regional Vice President of Linkage, Inc., and Chief Learning Officer (CLO) for Virtual Learn, a venture-backed, e-learning company.
Dr. Mirabile was also the Founder and CEO of Success Factor Systems, Inc., the predecessor company of the company now known as SAP Success Factors. As the company’s first CEO, he developed the original business and product strategy, raised the first two rounds of venture funding, and led the firm from its inception through the first seven years of growth. Success Factors completed a successful IPO in 2007 and was acquired by SAP in 2012. Earlier in his career, he was an Assistant Professor at Purdue University, an adjunct faculty member at John F. Kennedy University. He has also been a guest lecturer at the University of Texas at Austin.
He is currently a Strategic Advisor to FutureSolve, Targeted Velocity, and Breakthrough Performance Systems, all early stage start-up companies. He was previously on the Advisory Boards of Hitch.Works and Aptology. Hitch was acquired by Service Now and Aptology was acquired by MediaFly, both in 2022.

- From 2015 – 2019, designed and facilitated all BALT (Bay Area Leadership Team) offsite sessions for Jeff Gerard – BALT President. Focus of work was on Strategic Planning and Team Development.
- From 2019 – 2023, designed and facilitated Team Development offsite sessions for the Strategic Planning Group for Cynthia Lee – Chief Strategy Officer. Focus of work was on building High Performance Teams.
- From 2019 – 2023, designed and facilitated Team Development offsite sessions for the CEO’s of all Bay Area Hospitals for Julie Petrini – CEO, Bay Area Hospitals. Focus of work was on building a High Performance Team.
- From 2021 – 2022, designed team meeting sessions for the Medical Group CEO’s and the Medical Group Board for Conrad Vial, M.D., Chief Clinical Officer. Focus of the work was on team collaboration and alignment.
