Christina Oh, Christina Oh, MHA

Christina Oh joined Sutter Health in December 2023 as President of Sutter’s Greater San Francisco Market. In this role she leads operations and strategy across six hospitals and an ambulatory network throughout San Francisco and Northern California. Sutter’s Greater San Francisco market includes 8,000 colleagues and over 400 physicians who offer specialized and full-spectrum care, including advanced cardiac and organ transplant services.
Most recently, Christina was President and CEO of HCA Healthcare’s Trident Health System in Charleston, SC where she expanded Trident’s acute and ambulatory footprint, built tertiary services and developed a “people-first” culture among employees and physicians. Christina led teams focused on creating access to care for patients in need, including the construction and opening of a 60-bed free-standing behavioral health hospital, the first in the region in thirty years. In September her team opened the first free-standing emergency department on James Island, SC. Christina also launched a regional complex surgical oncology program with clinics across the state. During her tenure at Trident she partnered with community leaders and governments to bring equitable access to care to South Carolina’s Lowcountry, including the creation of a new medical campus on Johns Island. She also led the launch of five residency programs within the health system.
Christina was recruited to Charleston from Phoenix, Arizona, where served as CEO of Abrazo West, Tenet Healthcare’s trauma flagship hospital in Phoenix. Under her leadership the hospital established a complex spine center, started four residency programs and opened a thrombectomy stroke program. Despite the impacts of COVID-19, Christina led her team toward strong financial results and a resolute focus on creating access to care for communities in need. Prior to her move to Phoenix, Christina was CEO of Tenet’s Placentia-Linda Hospital in Placentia, CA.
Christina’s healthcare career started at Hilton Head and Coastal Carolina Hospitals in Hilton Head, SC, and included executive positions at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC. Her track record is highlighted by developing engaged and resilient teams, building strong physician networks and expanding community outreach programs.
Christina holds a master’s degree in healthcare administration from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and a bachelor’s in business administration from Baylor University in Waco, Texas.
