Hello all, my name is Marlene Cristales. I am the clinical nurse educator for the Family Birth Center at Mills Peninsula Medical Center. I have served in this role for the last 2 years and bring with me 22 years of bedside labor and delivery experience. I am passionate about finding ways to optimize maternal and neonatal outcomes. I firmly believe patient/healthcare partnerships are an important component to improving outcomes. Working patient/clinician partnerships provide the opportunity to empower patients with necessary tools to live their best lives. My purpose as an educator is to find ways to disseminate knowledge of these tools to clinicians so they can relay the message to their patients.
