Description: 

Caring Under Constraint: How to Appropriately Treat Incarcerated Patients." This webinar will explore how healthcare providers can communicate effectively and compassionately as well as treat incarcerated patients. Healthcare providers will be able to identify common barriers; will learn how to apply practical strategies to deliver ethically appropriate care; and integrate ethical considerations in caring for this vulnerable population. Case examples using different patient care scenarios will be discussed. Through case-based discussions, participants will examine diverse clinical scenarios and explore strategies for communicating and navigating complex ethical decisions in acute care settings for this vulnerable patient population.
