The 2024 8th Annual Accreditation Summit is designed to meet the educational needs of the Registered Nurse and other health professional attendees in understanding and applying health care regulations and standards, including current trends in nursing and health care, to the indirect care of patients to achieve and/or maintain patient safety and quality. This is accomplished through content of state-wide and nationally recognized speakers who are subject matter experts in the field of patient quality, safety and regulatory compliance.

Learning Objectives
By the end of this activity, learners should be able to:
1. Articulate the relationship between regulatory compliance and patient safety
2. Describe specific regulations and accreditation standards that facilitate safe nursing and patient care
3. Identify at least 3 top Joint Commission findings within Sutter Health that have identified opportunities to improve the safety of nursing/patient care.
4. Describe current and future trends in healthcare regulations and standards which promote quality and equity for patients.
5. List at least 3 ways the nurse/health professional can establish and maintain a safe patient care environment.
6. Describe at least 2 ways CA Title 22 regulations facilitate quality of patient care and patient safety
