0710_SSMC_Integrative Healing for Patient Care_Live
Description:
Healthcare professionals are increasingly encountering patients experiencing elevated levels of stress, anxiety, and discomfort, which can impede healing, prolong hospitalization, and reduce patient satisfaction. Despite strong evidence supporting nonpharmacologic interventions such as therapeutic touch, breathwork, and sensory modalities, these techniques remain underutilized in clinical settings. This interactive, 4 hour evidence-based course equips nurses, with practical skills to integrate mind-body healing practices into patient care. Participants will explore research-supported techniques—including Jin Shin holds, gentle touch, essential oil use, and guided imagery—that promote physiological stability, emotional comfort, and resilience. The course emphasizes creating healing environments that support improved clinical outcomes, reduce hospital length of stay, and foster a culture of patient-centered care. The training also addresses strategies for sharing wellness techniques with patients and colleagues, reinforcing a healing culture and supporting staff well-being.
