Description:
This grand rounds talk is designed to help clinicians refine their approach to hypothyroidism diagnosis and management by reducing unnecessary testing and avoiding overtreatment. Learners will review common pitfalls in thyroid testing, including the overuse of T3 assays, the appropriate use of antibody testing, and strategies for handling patient requests for unnecessary tests. The course will also cover evidence-based guidelines on when to initiate therapy, how to avoid overprescribing thyroid medications, and the impact of overtreatment on patient outcomes.

3. Identify scenarios that warrant endocrinology referral
