4. Describe guideline-directed management of ICU delirium.

5. Summarize pharmacologic treatment options for ICU delirium.

6. Evaluate the role of adjunctive valproic acid in comparison to standard therapies for ICU delirium.

7. Evaluate clinical outcomes associated with the use of adjunctive valproic acid in ICU delirium.

8. Review angiotensin II (Ang II) mechanism and clinical role/use in shock.

9. Evaluate outcomes of early versus late angiotensin II use.

10. Interpret the clinical impact of study findings related to angiotensin II use in shock.

12. Evaluate the association between sedation practices and the risk of self-extubation using a matched case-control design.

13. Identify opportunities for practice optimization, including earlier extubation strategies in appropriate patients and increased use of as-needed medications for the management of agitation and delirium.

14. Explore the prevalence of specific substance use and their potential correlation with stroke etiology or treatment complications.
